Alexander joins the US-ASEAN Business Council in November 2010 as a Country Representative for Indonesia. Before joining the Council, he spent ten years in private and public sectors in Indonesia. In his capacity, he worked as a strategy analyst, covering a broad range of subjects including business expansion and market entry strategies, partner selection and evaluation as well as government affairs and political risk.
In 2008, he worked as a project manager for economic policy coordination with the Technical Assistance Management Facility (TAMF) and the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (CMEA), a project funded by the Australian Government for carrying out economic and financial reforms in Indonesia. His support to the project has concluded with the Government of Indonesia launching its economic policy matrix entitled “Economic Focus Program 2008 – 2009”. Before taking that role, Alexander spent several years with Singapore and Jakarta based international strategic consulting firms that served nearly all the leading multinational companies from Europe, Australia and North America to become more successful investing in Indonesia.
Alexander holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from Satya Wacana Christian University (SWCU).
