

The US-ASEAN Business Council is the most informed and effective connection available to U.S. companies interested in Cambodia. The Council has helped work with Cambodia
develop and implement key policy changes designed to attract foreign direct investment.

The Council organized a members briefing with the recently confirmed U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia, William Todd, on April 17th. Members were able to brief Ambassador Todd prior to his departure for post.
The Council's Financial Services Working Group, comprised of 8 member companies, held its annual mission to the 16th ASEAN Finance Ministers' Meeting on March 29-30, 2012 in Cambodia. The delegation, co-led by Juan Andrade of ACE Group, Chair of the Council's Working Group, discussed ways to support the continuing evolution of ASEAN's policy structure to strengthen the process of regional financial integration and market development.
The Council held its annual Business Mission to Cambodia where the delegation met with Deputy Prime Minister Sok An (second from left, middle row) and other key Cabinet officials. The delegation was co-led by Chair of Cambodia Committee Bill Lafferrandre of ConocoPhillips, and consisted of 11 companies.
The Council concluded its largest two-day Business Mission to Phnom Penh, with 11 companies. The delegation was co-led by Frances Zwenig of the Council and Daisy Liu of ConocoPhillips, the Chair of the Council's Cambodia Committee and met with Prime Minister Hun Sen (above, 4th from right) and other cabinet members.
