Southeast Asia Economic Community Road Show

Seattle, WA and Washington, DC, May 3-5, 2010

The Southeast Asia Economic Community Tour represents the culmination of the US-ASEAN Business Council’s 25 years of engagement with Southeast Asia. Through such efforts as the U.S. Ambassador’s Tour and the ASEAN Ambassador’s Tour, the Council has long aimed to bring Southeast Asia to all corners of the United States. With the help of the United States Trade Representative, we are proud to introduce our distinguished delegation from Southeast Asia.

Highlights of the Tour Include:

• May 3rd in Seattle
1. ASEAN Seminar.
2. Luncheon featuring Ambassador Kirk.
3. SME networking session with U.S. government export promotion agencies.

• The Seattle visit was co-organized by the National Bureau of Asian Research, the Trade Development Alliance, and the National Center for APEC.


• May 5th in Washington D.C.
1. ASEAN-U.S. Tifa meeting conducted at USTR.
2. Luncheon with the Washington Policy Community hosted by the East-West Center.
3. Meetings with U.S. Congressional leaders.
4. Culminating dinner held at the Four Seasons.
