The F&A Working Group has initiated the idea of organizing a high level Food Security (FS) Dialogue with the ASEAN Member States across different ministries as a critical first step in establishing a formal mechanism for regular public private sector engagement. This idea was presented to the ASEAN Economic ministers at their annual meeting in Manado last year; and also to the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) at a meeting in Jakarta, February this year.   Trans Pacific Partnership: Towards a Seamless Commercial Environment in the Asia-Pacific
The US-ASEAN Business Council, as a supporting organization, is pleased to share with you an invitation from the Singapore Business Federation and U.S. National Centre for APEC. The Singapore Business Federation and the U.S. National Centre for APEC is organising a Seminar entitled Trans Pacific Partnership: Towards a Seamless Commercial Environment in the Asia-Pacific on 25 May 2012. The aim of the seminar is to update the business community in Singapore on the outcomes of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations so far. The session will serve to update on the outcomes of the recent round of negotiations that took place in Dallas, Texas in early May 2012. Hear from a list of distinguished speakers from government and the private sector on the hopes and future of the TPP.
