Alberto Coria joined the US-ASEAN Business Council as a Membership and Business Development Associate in April 2019. Alberto worked previously at SmithBucklin, where he served in a membership role with international trade associations. Alberto has also worked as a Policy Fellow at Foreign Policy for America, an advocacy group, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at American University. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in U.S. Foreign Policy from the School of International Service at American University. Alberto has concentrated his studies on regional trade within Asia, as well as Chinese and Southeast Asian relations with Latin America.
Alberto graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.A. in Political Science. Throughout his undergraduate studies, Alberto was an exchange student to Fudan University in China, and taught English to primary school students in Shanghai for 4 months. Alberto is fluent in Spanish and has studied Mandarin.
