Senior Manager - Indonesia
Artha Sirait joined the Council as a Senior Manager in the Washington, D.C. office in December 2016. She brings to the Council her knowledge and in-depth understanding of local regulations, trade practices and foreign investment climate in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia.
Prior to joining the Council, Artha spent several years practicing as a corporate attorney focused on Southeast Asia M&A and capital markets transactions. She has worked extensively in matters involving international investment and trade across sectors. In addition, she was part of negotiation teams for a number of U.S. domestic and overseas acquisitions and joint ventures. Artha received her law degrees from NYU School of Law and the University of Indonesia. She is admitted to practice law in New York State and Indonesia.
Artha is passionate about international human rights matters and the nonprofit sector. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering for a refugee resettlement organization and an international NGO focused on combatting labor exploitation and human trafficking in Asia. She also enjoys writing and has previously been published by the Jakarta Post. Artha speaks Bahasa Indonesia and Malay.
