Steven is the Senior Country Representative for Indonesia at the US-ASEAN Business Council, where he focuses on public policy and advocacy efforts to promote trade and investment relationships between the United States and Indonesia across industries, ranging from financial services, information, communications and technology (ICT). Moreover, he currently leads the financial services, travel and tourism committees in the ASEAN region, working closely with senior executives from the leading U.S. multinationals - mostly in the Fortune 500.
To cope with the impact of the unprecedented outbreak, he is also the main lead in Southeast Asia for the corporate strategy development along with project lead and CxOs headquartered in Washington, D.C.
Prior to advocacy, he worked as a strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting and Strategy& (previously Booz & Company). His prior consulting engagements have included clients in the fields of financial services, telecommunication, consumer business, energy and public sector. These have been in the areas of corporate strategy, go-to-market strategy and turnaround strategy across Southeast Asia.
He holds a first class honours degree in Economics from Monash University and Public Policy Analysis certificate from LSE.
He enjoys surfing, beach cleanups, mental health awareness and cultural exchanges. He speaks fluent Indonesian and English, conversational Chinese. Learning French is also in his bucket list.
