Tareq Muhmood
Group Country Manager, Regional Southeast Asia
Tareq Muhmood is Visa’s Group Country Manager for Regional Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing Visa’s business across the markets of Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Tareq serves as a member of Visa’s Asia Pacific Leadership Team.
Prior to joining Visa, Tareq spent 25 years in financial services working for HSBC, ANZ and Ahli United Bank in a number of countries across Asia, North America, the Middle East and Europe. He has occupied Chief Executive roles in South Korea, Vietnam, Brunei, Iraq and Kuwait, and ran Retail, Corporate and institutional banking businesses. Tareq graduated from the University of Manchester and has attended programs at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
