US-ASEAN Business Council Congratulates the People of Malaysia on their Recent General Elections

The US-ASEAN Business Council’s Board of Directors, members and staff, express their heartfelt congratulations to the citizens of Malaysia in electing H.E. Mahathir Bin Mohamad as the Seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia.

“The free, fair, and peaceful nature of the electoral process serves as a testament to the will of the Malaysian people and the strength of the nation’s democratic process”, said Alexander Feldman, President & CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council.

“The members of the US-ASEAN Business Council look forward to continuing our long history of business, trade and investment with Malaysia, a leader in ASEAN and one of the world’s top trading nations in energy, commodities, and electronics.”, added Feldman.

The Council hopes to continue the tradition of working with Malaysia’s government to expand mutually beneficial bilateral economic relations between our two countries in ways which also will support Malaysia achieving its Vision 2020 goals of becoming a high- income nation.
