Ben Djanuar joined the US-ASEAN Business Council as an Associate in January 2022, having previously served as an intern. Based in the Council’s Jakarta office, he covers the Indonesia portfolio across industries. In this capacity, he supports the Council’s business missions and various stakeholder engagement efforts to navigate Indonesia’s policy and regulatory environment.
Prior to joining the Council, Ben spent a year in a research internship at Deloitte where he assisted in the annual investment guide and thought leadership projects. Previously, he also interned at a political risk advisory firm and the Executive Office of the President of Indonesia. During the latter, he was involved in the policy harmonization efforts based on Presidential Regulation on open-data governance.
A native of Indonesia, Ben graduated cum laude from Universitas Indonesia with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. During his undergraduate years, he also served as a teaching and research assistant at the Department of International Relations.
