Prior to KKR, Mr. O’Leary was Global Head of Corporate Affairs and a member of the Group Management Committee at Plenary Group. Before Plenary, he spent a decade in Hong Kong, holding executive roles at HSBC before serving as Managing Director, Global Public Affairs at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. Earlier in his career, Mr. O’Leary worked in government and politics, including in roles with the Australian Government, the U.S. Department of State, the 2008 U.S. Presidential Campaign, and the New York State Legislature.

Mr. O’Leary has a Masters Degree in Government (hons) and a Bachelors Degree in Government & Public Policy (hons) from University College Cork. He completed his postgraduate degree at Boston College and was a Thomas M. Whalen Scholar at the College of Saint Rose, New York.
