Keith Williams is the 10th President in the 124 year history of Underwriters Laboratories. UL is an independent organization with a Mission to promote safe living and working environments for people.

Subsequent to graduation from Case Western Reserve University Keith joined General Electric Company. During a 23-year career at GE he held assignments in global business management, global logistics, marketing and sales at five different US locations and in Singapore and Beijing.

In 1997 Keith was named President, Asia-Pacific for Medtronic Inc.; a position he held for five of his eight year Medtronic career. After his work with Medtronic in Asia, Keith also had US assignments as President, Spinal, Neurological & Diabetes Business Unit, and as Chief Quality & Regulatory Officer.

In addition to his work at UL, Keith is Chairman of the US ASEAN Business Council, Secretary Treasurer of the US China Business Council, Chairman of the National Fire Protection Association, a Trustee of Opera Memphis and serves on the Boards of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and World Business Chicago.

Keith and his wife Kaori, an independent professional opera singer, reside in metro Chicago.
