The US-ASEAN Business Council met with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha during its annual Thailand Business Mission. The mission was co-led by Brad Middleton, Managing Director of Chevron Asia South; Alexander Feldman, President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council; and Ambassador Michael Michalak, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the US-ASEAN Business Council.
The US-ASEAN Business Council hosted Ben Rhodes, Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications and Speechwriting, for a discussion at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, DC. Mr. Rhodes offered a comprehensive readout on President Obama's recent trip to Vietnam, the upcoming visit by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore, and the President's forthcoming trip to Laos in September.
US-ASEAN Business Council Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director Ambassador Michael Michalak joins hands with Dr. Wimonkan Kosumas, of the Thailand Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion, Rebecca Acuna of USAID, and Nguyen Hoa Cuong of Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Planning to officially launch the ASEAN Online SME Academy, a project of the US-ASEAN Business Alliance for Competitive SMEs.
Ambassador Michael W. Michalak of the US-ASEAN Business Council and Director-General of Indonesian Customs and Excise Heru Pambudi lead the Customs and Trade Facilitation Committee’s annual Dialogue Partner Consultation with the ten ASEAN Directors-General of Customs.
