ASEAN Farm to Table Multi-stakeholder Forum
On February 3-4, 2026, the USABC Farm to Table Multi-stakeholder Forum was convened in Jakarta to reaffirm US-ASEAN commitment to advancing a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable food and agriculture value chain across ASEAN. The two-day forum brought together senior government officials from nine ASEAN Member States, representing agriculture, environment, and science and technology agencies, alongside private sector leaders, international organizations, and experts. Participants exchanged perspectives and identified practical pathways to strengthen end-to-end links of food and agriculture systems, encompassing the farm-level production, supply chains, to consumer outcomes at the table.
Discussions were structured around three core pillars of the farm-to-table value chain: at the farm, across supply chains, and at the table. Sessions explored climate-smart and regenerative agriculture, digital adoption in farming and livestock, plant breeding technologies, and antimicrobial resistance mitigation, as well as digital traceability, food safety, logistics and cold chain gaps, intra-ASEAN trade, food innovation, extended producer responsibility, and digital engagement to strengthen consumer trust. Private sector representatives from Corteva Agriscience, Bayer, ADM, and Illumina emphasized the importance of science-based innovation, sustainable productivity, responsible sourcing, and resilient supply chains. Strong engagement from both government and industry throughout the forum highlighted the critical role of public–private collaboration in strengthening food security, improving nutrition outcomes, and advancing a future-ready agriculture ecosystem across the region.
