The Road to Thailand Elections 2023
The elections began with the dissolution of the 25th House of Representatives on 20th March 2023, three days before the term ended. Early voting registration was held from 27th March to 13th April, while the application period for electoral candidates took place from 3rd to 7th April . Early voting took place on 7th May, followed by the main election on 14th May.
Results
The elections on 14th May were peaceful and conducted efficiently with great success. The turnout was impressive, recording a new high of over 75%. Unofficial results after all ballots counted were:

Pita Limpjaroenrat, leader of Kao Klai Party, announced on 15th May that he will seek to form a coalition government with Pheu Thai, Prachachart, Thai Sang Thai, Seri Ruam Thai, and Pen Tham parties. The coalition government will have 309 out of 500 seats
Next Steps
The upcoming coalition government would come with implications, determining the country's future key domestic and foreign policies. After the election commission confirms the legitimacy of the elections, the official announcement of the results must be made no longer than 60 days after the election date, and the first parliamentary meeting shall happen within the next 15 days after the announcement of election results.
