The 10th edition of the biennial Singapore Airshow was launched in early February 2026, with more than 1,000 companies from over 50 countries and regions participating, representing the full spectrum of commercial aviation, defense, space, MRO, advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies. Industry giants like Airbus, Boeing and Rolls-Royce were joined by a new wave of defense technology innovators, such as drone-focused Anduril Industries and Shield AI, or Quikbot for autonomous systems, or Hawkeye 360 in space-based intelligence and surveillance. National pavilions from across Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America also anchored the exhibition, with expanded representation from the Italian Trade Agency Pavilion and the China Pavilion, strengthening Singapore’s position as a neutral gateway between Western and Asian aerospace and defense markets.

Unmanned systems remained a central focus of the airshow, with growing emphasis on low-cost, attritable unmanned capabilities. Particularly in light of demographic challenges like declining birth rates, many exhibitors showcased solutions aimed at maximizing manpower efficiency and reducing training costs. In addition, sustainable fuel was another emphasis of the airshow as industry analysts expect that sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) would account for up to 5% of global jet fuel consumption by 2030, while Singapore has set a national target of 1% SAF adoption by 2026.

Overall, the Singapore Airshow sent a positive signal regarding the growth of the global aviation market. Mr Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director of Experia Events, organiser of Singapore Airshow, said “"Reaching our 10th edition reflects how Singapore Airshow has grown alongside the industry and how its role continues to expand, particularly as Asia-Pacific continues to drive the growth of the global aviation business." This is further reinforced by the US approval of a $2.3 billion sale of P-8A maritime patrol aircraft, torpedoesand related equipment to Singapore on January 20, which signal a strong US-Singapore strategic partnership.
