On May 5, the Council hosted a briefing with ASEAN Center for Energy (ACE) to discuss ASEAN’s 2023 Energy Outlook, which can be found here. The presentation emphasized the region’s need for a balanced energy mix and highlighted the regional energy security priorities of ASEAN governments, including regional power grid interconnection, oil and gas supply chains for energy security, EV ecosystem development, and sustainable fuel. The ACE also highlighted opportunities for government engagement at the ASEAN Energy Business Forum, which will take place in August alongside the ASEAN Energy Ministerial Meetings in Bali. The USABC will be organizing the upcoming Energy Business Mission (AMEM) to coincide with these two events. For interest in attending this mission, please register through this link. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Energy Team.
