Interim Chief Representative of Malaysia
Emma Tabatabai oversees the Malaysia, Brunei and ICT portfolio at the US-ASEAN Business Council. A Singapore Raffles College alumnus, her extensive experience spans government relations, public affairs, and customer relations. Emma expertly navigates the Malaysia & Brunei markets, drawing on her past experiences.

Emma Tabatabai serves as a key staff member at the US-ASEAN Business Council, specializing in the Malaysia, Brunei, and ICT portfolio. Currently, she serves as the Interim Chief Representative of Malaysia based in the Kuala Lumpur office. 

Emma brings with her extensive government relations and public affairs experience to the Council’s work. Previously, she served as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of an oil and gas company, coordinating the company’s government relations and public affairs. She has also been a Journalist for an independent television station, a Designer in an international architecture firm and a customer relations agent with a major airline.

Currently, Emma enhances the Council’s visibility and presence by managing and promoting Council events and programs organized in Malaysia and Brunei. She is responsible for engaging the Malaysia and Brunei government working on policies and advocating for the Council members.
