Mario Masaya
Vice President, Technology and Financial Services
Mario Masaya is currently serving the Council as Vice President, Technology and Financial Services based in the Washington DC office. He oversees the Council’s ICT, Financial Services, and ASEAN Committees.

Mario holds a bachelor’s degree from Parahyangan University in Indonesia, and a master’s degree from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He lived in Beijing and studied at the Beijing Language and Culture University. Mario is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at NYU's Stern School of Business.

Mario Masaya is currently serving the Council as Vice President, Technology and Financial Services based in the Washington DC office. He oversees digital-related advocacy efforts, programs, and activities, particularly under the Council’s ICT, Financial Services, and ASEAN Committees. 

Mario joined the Council in 2014 in its Jakarta office and led the Council’s ASEAN Committee and SME portfolios while supporting the Indonesia and ICT Committees. He moved to the Singapore office and led the Council’s digital-related portfolios in 2021 and later moved to the DC office in 2022. He worked on the Council’s signature business missions and various programs over the years at both regional and country levels, performing a leading or supporting role in these programs. Among others, he initiated the ASEAN SME Academy, the U.S.-ASEAN Internship Program, and the ASEAN-US Digital Consultative Forum. He is involved in various Council projects including E-Commerce report, Artificial Intelligence initiatives, ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA)/Digital Trade related projects, and Cybersecurity projects. 

Mario previously worked at the ASEAN Secretariat, the University of Parahyangan, and a political consulting firm in Indonesia. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Parahyangan University in Indonesia, and a master’s degree from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He lived in Beijing and studied at the Beijing Language and Culture University. 

Mario is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at NYU's Stern School of Business.
