The US-ASEAN Business Council is organizing a Roundtable Discussion on Indonesia and India’s Perspectives on America First Trade Policy with Shaanti Shamdasani, CEO and President of S (Strategic) ASEAN International Advocacy & Consultancy (SAIAC) and Harsha Vardhana Singh, Ex Director General at World Trade Organization (WTO), International Trade Advisor – India. This meeting presents a valuable opportunity to gain insights on Indonesian and Indian public and private sector perspectives on formulating responses to the America First trade policy. The speakers will also discuss trends in India-ASEAN trade relations under the AITIGA as well as implications of the new U.S. trade policy for regional supply chains in Asia. The discussions will be followed by a reception.
